I know I didn’t give you a bunch of time but it’s not too late to enter your amazing DIY project to the UncommonGoods contest for a chance to $500 and a product contract! Submissions are due by September 30 (midnight). Here is the link to UncommonGoods to submit your product. It’s a really easy submission-took me less than 5 minutes to enter mine. Here is what I submitted: A wooden spoon holder that I made for the owners of Mad River Barn from the antique beams that came out of their farmhouse during the remodeling project of the farmhouse, inn and pub. The beams are from the late 1700’s and early 1800’s and they are GORGEOUS!! I can’t wait to make the beds and benches for the Inn out of them as well. Recycle, repurpose, reuse! The wooden spoon holder was a ton of fun to make (look at those tree rings-so cool). I’ll post step by step of it soon. Wish me luck on my entry! Joanne
